Our History
St. Jude Council was founded on April 17, 1966 through the efforts of several dedicated men. It is named after the Apostle St. Jude, also known as Thaddaeus, who was a brother of St. James the Less, and a relative of Our Savior. Ancient writers tell us that he preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Idumaea, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Lybia
